Tuesday 11th July, 2006-St. George’s: Teachers from the Isle of Bute, Scotland, Mr. And Mrs. David Hanschell visited the Grand Roy Government School on Tuesday 11th July, 2006 to present the principal and teachers with school equipment and a cheque for approximately ₤300 to aid in the schools rehabilitation effort.
Mr. and Mrs. Hanschell joined forces with other organizations
immediately after hurricane Ivan devastated
Mr. Hanschell who has been in close contact with the principal of the
Grand Roy Government School Mrs. Janice Thomas, said that he was happy
to see first hand how the teachers and students have put the tools and
equipment to good use.
The Isle of Bute teacher said that this visit will also enable him to
access the additional needs of the school.
Principal Janice Thomas and her staff took the opportunity to extend
their appreciation to the Hanschell’s by presenting them with a token of
appreciation.
