The truth always comes to light

As previously noted, this Government wish the decorum of the Opposition Party – NDC was of an acceptable and positive nature so we could all focus on constructive and progressive governance. However, when one’s character and profession is strategically under malicious attack, as is the practice of the NDC, it is only natural to exalt in the light of vindication. Vindication simply defined: is to clear of accusation, blame, suspicion, or doubt.

This Government has always maintained its dignity in representing the People of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

It is important to note that this Government, though extremely disappointed, is not distracted by NDC’S incessant planting of premeditated, groundless character attacks. We wish to assure the People of this Blessed country that we are assiduously working at delivering on our commitment to betterment.

As time and justice assures mankind, we continue to witness the undoing of the NDC. It is unfortunate that we have to spend too much of the People’s time and resources debunking malicious rumors due to the cheap, spineless actions of a desperate Opposition Party that is of the view that they can violate our ethical standards and laws with impunity.

Until a prescribed deterrent is affected by our judicial system, this type of nuisance will continue to prevail. As eloquently stated by the renowned Irving R Kaufman, “Our society permits people to sue for libel so that they may vindicate their reputation.” Alternately, the shoes of justice must also be able to fit the feet of the victim.

When elected Representatives of the People spend all their time and resources to destroy rather than build this country, we know that we have a useless situation with an otherwise dangerous Opposition Party.

The Truth always comes to light…even under the cloud of NDC’S political gymnastics and legal maneuvering. The successive vindication of both Minister Gregory Bowen and Prime Minister Mitchell is further testament of a desperate and disgusting Opposition Party that is preoccupied with shenanigans and as such chooses to levy baseless attacks on the two highest Offices of Government. In the fullness of time and with the freedom of conscience, the phoniness of the NDC will become more apparent.

In spite of the nonsense by the Opposition, this Government has to live up to our responsibility by staying focused on the prize – the Big Picture which is Nation-building. It is often said that when you are doing a good job expect criticism…because to avoid criticism is to do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing,

The New National Party is of firm belief that these NDC characters are actually a danger onto themselves. We continue to pray for these troubled souls in hope that they come to their senses because every Grenadian good or bad is our responsibility.

Some popular voices proclaim that through politics we can legislate good behaviour; others say that through persuasion we can convince people to be good; and still others declare that through power we can force people to be good. But none of these is what God says. His solution is much more basic. He says that our task is to “overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12: 21 NIV.
