Leader of the opposition Dr. The Right
Hon Keith Mitchell has sent a
congratulatory letter the Prime Minister
of Jamaica Hon Bruce Golding following
the stunning performance of the Jamaican
athletes in Beijing.
The
following is an excerpt from the letter
sent: "I write to congratulate
you, your government and the people of
Jamaica on the achievement of your
athletes so far in the 2008 Beijing
Olympics.
Looking at
the spectacular performance of Shellyann
Fraser and Usain Bolt was no doubt a
proud moment for me and I am sure for
every Grenadian. I am certain that the
entire Caribbean is proud today because
of their performance.
Please
convey my congratulations to the
athletes and to the people of Jamaica”.
