Senator Ann David Antoine has embarked on a weekly programme of reaching out to the elderly, the sick and the needy within the South St. George Constituency. This is to be carried out on a village basis every Wednesday starting at 1pm. One of the most recent tours by Senator Ann David Antoine and her team was that of the Limes where they visited many of the elderly, the sick and the needy within that village. The overall objective of that programme is to give medical assistance to the Elderly, to provide counseling on some common health related matters and to listen and give advice on the concerns raised by villagers. Senator Ann David Antoine stressed that she wants to make it a weekly exercise where she will meet the elderly as well as their children and grand children. She pointed out that the activity starts of with prayers and then after they will engage themselves in addressing some relevant matters to include the question of whether they are in possession of their ID Cards and to also bring about some important community awareness. It was a heart warming exercise for the elderly, the sick and the needy within the Limes Community and they all expressed their gratefulness to Senator Ann David Antoine and her team for taking some time off to look into their needs . |
