Popular Grenadian artistes support the progress

Thursday 15th May 2008, St George’s: Contrary to the story being put forward by a specific segment of the local media on of the big stories out of the NNP's Massive Youth Rally one of the most positive aspects of the rally has and remains the involvement of so many local artistes in the activity.

Indeed the NNP has been able to effortlessly all of the biggest artistes in Grenada including present Soca Monarchs Luni Sparks and Electrify as well as Road March Champion Berbice.

Several of the artistes who are currently in studio preparing their Spicemas 2k8 renditions also took time to produce NNP Tunes for the upcoming General Elections which the incumbent NNP is highly favored to win. Perennial favourite on the local and regional music scene Tallpree has on his hands a hit favourite with the tune: 'We Voting for Kennedy'. The tune extols the many virtues of the NNP's Kennedy Roberts regarded by the people of St. George North East and the representative in waiting. With a lively rhythm the tune pulses to the JabJab beat for which Tallpree and indeed North East St George is known for.

Also in the mix is General PP known for his cohesive lyrics as his mellow hit sublimely entices the voter to move together with the NNP's Town of St. George Candidate Brenda Hood. Former Soca Monarchs and Road March Champions Sheldon Douglas and Inspector a staple on the NNP's music platform have created the tune "Don't Stop the Progress" which acts as the milestone by which all other NNP Tunes for the upcoming election will be measured. The tune speaks volumes of the many achievements of the New National Party and urges listens to remember that: "The House is solid and the Pillar Strong."

Vocally competent artistes Glaze has shown his support with two tunes on the Mission Rhythm which speak of soon to be returned MP for St. Patrick West, Anthony Boatswain. Roadmarch Champion has done an NNP remix of his runaway 2007 hit 'Blocking the Traffic' to 'Blocking the Progress' which was released to the over 20,000 screaming, green wearing youth at Fond Pasture during the Youth Rally.

With some nineteen (19) artistes taking part in the NNP Youth Rally and many more already in the house and in the studios we can only expect much more hits from the local artistes as they continue to support the progress. For updates on the latest NNP Hit tunes visit our downloads section.
