US Charge d’ Affairs attached to the
United States Embassy in Grenada,
Mrs Karen Jo Mc Isaac said farewell
to Opposition Leader Dr. the Rt.
Hon. Keith Mitchell today, as she
wraps up her three year assignment
on the island this week.
The
United States representative paid a
courtesy call on the Opposition
Leader this morning and noted that
she enjoyed the period she worked
with the Government and people of
Grenada. She reiterated the need
for greater unity in Grenada saying
that the country has great potential
and need for all Grenadians to work
together to realise that potential.
She
congratulated the Government and
people of Grenada for the remarkable
recovery Grenada made post hurricane
Ivan and pledged to continue doing
all in her power to further
strengthen the relationship between
the United States of America and
Grenada.
Dr.
Mitchell once again expressed thanks
to the US Government through Ms MC
Isaac noting the tremendous support
Grenada received from the United
States, the largest contributor to
the country’s recovery effort
following the passage of hurricane
Ivan. Dr. Mitchell also used the
opportunity to extend best wishes to
the US Representative as she moved
on to a new assignment in
Washington.
