St. George’s, Grenada, April
12th, 2010: Through the Grenada Honorary Consul to the Republic of Poland,
Andrew Bierzynski, Leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith
Mitchell has extended deepest sympathy and sincere condolences, to the
Government and people of Poland, and the bereaved families of those who lost
their lives in the unfortunate plane crash.
He said the passing of
President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, along with so many senior and
deeply respected Polish figures has shocked the international community and will
certainly be a great loss to the people of Poland.
Dr. Mitchell noted that
President Lech Kaczynski was recognized and respected internationally as one who
has served his country with distinction.
Mitchell said “My thoughts and
prayers are with the Kaczynski family, and all the people of Poland as they cope
with such great loss”
