NNP responds to Senator Glen Noel comments

St. George's Grenada, February 4th, 2010: In a comment on the recent nomination of Mr. Gregory Bowen to the Senate, Senator Glen Noel indicated that "NNP was having problems attracting young people to the party".

The New National Party in its deliberate judgment has decided that it is appropriate to have some of the experienced hands back in the forefront of politics again as their wisdom will be necessary to help correct much of the disarray that Senator Noel's NDC Government is presently creating and have been creating since July 8th, 2008.

Contrary to Senator Noel's wishful thinking, many young people have been knocking on the door of New National Party and some have started to work quietly behind the scene. The New National Party continues to embrace and welcome the young people of the country into the party as it recognises that their voices must be heard, and that they are the future of the country.

The New National Party takes umbrage at the comments of Senator Noel and advises that he should focus on the promise that his party made to bring good governance to the people of Grenada with transparency and accountability.
