The New National
Party Support Group, New York was established in
the early 1990’s to support the development of
Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique. The
Supporters, who were once actively involved in
Grenada’s development, wanted to continue
playing a role while they seek opportunities in
the New York City area. They felt the best way
to accomplish this goal was to created a group
that would support their brother and sisters in
Grenada through support of the New National
Party (NNP). The group has carried out several
roles to promote and support the government of
Grenada under the leadership of the NNP.
The Support Group
has helped to mobilize resources to promote
development both during times of stability and
during times of national disasters. The group
has worked closely with Grenadian nationals,
friends of Grenada, the Grenada Embassy in
Washington, the UN Mission and the Grenada
Consulate in New York to coordinate activities
and functions to support Grenada.
To group holds an
annual brunch and a gala dinner to support its
goals. In addition, the group actively
participates and coordinates in community
activities to support and promote the interest
of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique.
