The SEED Unit wishes Student Beneficiaries a Happy School Year

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA,September 03, 2013 – GIS:
As the new academic year begins, the SEED Unit wishes all its new and existing student beneficiaries a productive school year and urges them to continue the hard work.

The Minister for Social Development and Housing, the Hon. Delma Thomas encourages them to “study hard, spend their time wisely and be courteous.”

The Unit also celebrates with the student beneficiaries who have successfully written the regional CPEA and CXC Examinations this year. Information reaching the Unit is that quite a number of students benefiting from the Transportation Grant have performed exceptionally well.

“We congratulate the students for the achievements. They have done well and we wish them all the best,”Minister Thomas said.

“This just goes to show how far our young people can reach when you give them a hand up to help them better their education.”

Also impressed with the student’s performance is Mrs. Leonora Buckmire, Head of the SEED Unit.

“We are happy that we were able to assist the students thus far. We regard this as very important to the development of Grenada– as an investment in human capital,” Mrs. Buckmire said.

“We congratulate the students and encourage them to continue taking their school work seriously, to work hard and strive to improve themselves.”

The SEED Unit pledges its commitment to providing student beneficiaries with support they need to achieve success this academic school year.
