Well it is now official the Imani programme as we know it will be no more come January 2009. In its place accodring to the minister no more on the job training (because young people must get out from the $700.00 comfort zone)All primary school drop out will have to attend classes and do school leaving. Those from secondary school will have to attend classes also and prepare to do CXC exams and those who have completed TAMCC will have to apply to the scholarship desk for scholarship. Can you think of more BS than that. So where is the $ 1000.00 per month these young people was promise. So much for empowering our young people. I will like to know how many scholarships are available and what will those who don't get scholarship do. While our young people will no longer get the $ 700.00 monthly, money will be paid to a certain inn in grenville to host the classes, that after the owner already landed a diplomatic posting, yet these are the same persons who are saying that they love our young people and care about their welfare.
