Sisters of the New National
Party, good morning. Today we
are here to give our support to
positive change. We the members
of the outgoing Executive would
like to extend a hearty thank
you to all the representatives,
caretakers, and members of the
various constituencies for their
support in helping to change the
lives of many needy persons
within their communities, with
the introduction of the monthly
feeding program; for their
support with our socialization
and care for the elderly program
where many of our elders from
all over the country were taken
on a luncheon and bus tour to
see the transformation of the
St. George’s area; with its many
projects, some finished and
others continuing; their support
in assisting us to present a
food basket to the Home for the
Aged at Richmond Hill; for their
assistance with our BBQ and King
& Queen show at Minister Hood’s
residence, and the Dinner and
Dance at Ms. Courtney’s place in
Mt. Rose.
To
the constituents on the mainland
and in Carriacou who gave of
their time to meet with us with
the aim of reactivating the
groups in those areas. Although
we recognize that more could
have been done, without your
support we could not have
accomplished what we did. We
want to thank you, and encourage
you to continue to do more for
your party and country. As we
work toward one common goal, I
want to urge you to capitalize
on the opportunities and take
responsibility for social change
within your community and the
country. In today’s changing
environment, we must keep on
increasing our ability to
succeed through persistence.
NNP
as a party understands the
complexities of women’s roles,
hence the reason for the
advancement of so many women in
decision making positions within
our tri island state. Today I
would like to say to you,
encourage other women, and men,
to come onboard and support the
New National Party for the
continuation of positive
change. Once again, thank you,
and LET THE PROGRESS
CONTINUE. |
